MICAfest is back! Tickets are on sale now. This May, brace yourself for an unprecedented event: MICAfest Art for Change: The M/others' View, a month-long, multidisciplinary festival in Northampton presented by M/others Institute for Collaboration and Art with 80 m/other artists. Don't miss this revolutionary celebration, igniting essential conversations about m/otherhood, art, and social change. Themes include identity, social justice, health, and healing. The visual exhibition will be seen across esteemed venues and with interdisciplinary weekly showcasing events, such as Mom-ologues, M/otherhood in Motion, and Perfect Imperfections. Don’t miss this groundbreaking celebration of diverse m/other artists! MICAfest 2024 will showcase 80 artists exploring the complexities of m/otherhood through visual, literary, and performing arts in Northampton, MA.

Celebrate all the artists at a unique closing fundraising celebration with an Artist Conversation with some of our featured artists. The evening will end with musical guest Christa Joy and the Honeybees.

Mindful Creativity for M/Others and Allies By Laura Dickstein Thompson, Ed.D.

A 2-hour meditation and art workshop for m/others and alliesAll levels
Join Breathing Space for a virtual 2-hour meditation and art workshop designed for m/others and allies to rejuvenate your self-care and compassion. Led by Laura Dickstein Thompson, Ed.D., an artist, Kripalu meditation teacher, Kundalini yogi, and founder of breathingspace.art.
Class size is limited to 20 participants.
This program is being held in honor of the MICAfest Art for Change: The M/others’ View. Thompson has a three-part painting for the month-long exhibition in Northampton. This program is also being offered as part of ArtsWeek Berkshires.
