July 4th Celebration in Newton

Kids Morning, Open Air Market, and Fireworks
Free event for children ages 3 – 12 years. Children and families are invited to join in the Patriotic Costume Parade, Grand Pet Promenade, Decorated Bicycle Parade, make a July 4th parade wand at the arts, crafts table and more. Free ice cream courtesy of Cabot’s Ice Cream. Kids Morning is cancelled in the event of rain. Head on down to the Newton Centre Bowl – open green space below the hut off Tyler Terrace on Thursday, July 4th from 10:00am - 12:00pm
Afternoon/Evening Events:
1:00 p.m - 10:00 p.m: Albemarle Field/Halloran Sports Complex
The fun continues with a carnival featuring kiddie amusement rides by Cushing Amusements, local business vendor booths, and a handmade craft fair. At 3pm gather at the gazebo to enjoy the music of the Bay Colony Brass while enjoying refreshments from a variety of food trucks parked around the grounds.
Newton’s own Kat Chapman and her bandmate and co-producer Chris Leadbetter fire up the main stage at 5:30pm. Come early to save your space in the field. At 7pm things really kick up with the headliner band East Coast Soul bringing the crowd to their feet dancing and singing till dark. Try out the delicious food from the many food trucks and enjoy the open space under the stars. At 9:10 pm settle in for the grand finale a fantastic fireworks display
