GSH Summer Sizzlers
The Summer Sizzler Weekly Race Series has been held each Tuesday from Mid-April through August since 1980. Organized by the Greater Springfield Harriers running club, the series alternates between 5 kilometer XC and 8 kilometer road courses.
The series kicks-off each year on the 19th of April, Everett Barney Day, in reconigtion and thanks for his 178-acre land donation made back in 1890 to what became Forest Park.

with the 8KM ROAD Race
Continues:Each Tuesday at 6:30PM thru August 27th, 2024
alternating between 8KM Road Races & 5KM Cross Country Races
Fee:Only $5.00!
No pre-registration; just sign up on race day
Kids 14 and under are free!
Free post-race refreshments
Age group record-breakers will receive a gift certificate to FAST FEET.
Races will be held regardless of weather
