Exhibition - Andy Li: Read The Room

Anderson Yezerski Gallery is pleased to present Read The Room, a selection of new works by Andy Li. This is Li’s first solo exhibition with the gallery.

For this exhibition Andy Li continues his text-based practice as he re-imagines his work with new perspectives of scale. This body of work invites the viewer to participate in an internal dialog. A piece that reads “Don’t tell me to relax” and another that reads “A mad dash for the exit” might connect a complex sense of indignance with anxiety. Li’s work is honest and self actualized with real, relatable thoughts sewn into fabric and commemorated for all to sit with and acknowledge. Other pieces put to rest those anxieties and confirm the fact that if you’re willing to look (and read), you will find corners of happiness of proportions you didn’t know possible.
