Northampton International Cyclocross, Northampton, MA
A weekend event, starting with a bicycle clinic on Friday, the Northampton International Cyclocross is scheduled for Nov. 11-13. Starting at Look Park in Northampton, spectators line up to watch the oldest UCI cyclocross race in North America.
Coonamessett Farms Eco Cross, East Falmouth, MA
The Coonamessett Farms Eco Cross starts at 277 Hatchville Road in Falmouth. In addition to a men’s and women’s category, there is one for juniors and another for big fat tires—designed for those riding with tires that are 3.5 inches in width, or wider. Lasting just about an hour, this race is a favorite on Cape Cod.
Gran Prix of Beverly, Beverly, MA
Held on a closed street course in Beverly, the Gran Prix of Beverly takes place in July each year. Check the website for the schedule. Participants both start and finish on Cabot Street, and the race is extremely spectator friendly, with several excellent spots from which to watch along the way.
CompEdge Cross @ Blunt Park, Springfield
Held in August, the CompEdge Cross @ Blunt Field in Springfield is sponsored by Cyclonauts Racers, and features racers from all over New England. With categories for both women and men, the race is a favorite of spectators.
