Join us for the 40th Annual Bread & Roses Heritage Festival, a celebration that honors the historic 1912 textile strike in Lawrence, MA. This pivotal labor movement, known for its demand for fair wages and dignified working conditions, is commemorated through a vibrant festival that underscores labor rights, social justice, and cultural diversity.
2024 Theme and Logo
This year's theme is "Literacy and Democracy", reflecting our commitment to education as a powerful tool for justice and empowerment. In partnership with the Lawrence Public Library, the festival will feature a StoryWalk by the Lawrence Public Library on Campagnone Common, allowing attendees to engage with literature in an interactive outdoor setting. The festival's logo, designed by 14-year-old Kameel Cruz, artistically represents the "Bread for all, and the roses too" slogan, symbolizing the spirit of our event.
