Watercolor Paintings by Suzanne Meeker
Ashland resident Suzanne Meeker has art degrees from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, and Texas Woman’s University and studies at Temple University. She has worked for over 25 years in Ashland teaching children’s art classes and Senior Center Art Classes, sharing the joy and benefits of creative imagination. Her art depicts flowers, still life, and landscapes. Experiments with different types of watercolors – gouache, acrylic, ink, and gesso – keep her world exciting and add interest to her collection. Her local studio has been in Ashland since 1989. Her works have been acquired both locally and worldwide for the pleasure of those who enjoy easy viewing to enhance their living spaces.
I view my art “as a joyful hobby, my commitment seems to be never-ending - sometimes successful and sometimes not. Keep in mind the struggle with art is always a balance that can be fun and fulfilling. Thank you for taking the time to look at my work. Art only happens if it is seen, heard or felt.”
