Loosely based on Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, the story follows Natalie (Gwynne Wood*), a young mechanic with a heart for adventure, and Chad (Christopher Lewis), a mysterious, hip-swiveling roustabout who has become stranded and decides to shake things up for the regulars at Sylvia's (Carolyn Saxon*) Honky Tonk in their small, 1950s Texas-inspired rural town.
Directed by Arthur Gomez, choreographed by Larry Sousa, and under the musical direction of Mindy Cimini, the production abounds with rock ‘n roll, romance, and mistaken identities. Some of the Elvis classics include “Heartbreak Hotel,” “Hound Dog,” “Jailhouse Rock,” and “Don’t Be Cruel.”
“All Shook Up is a journey of self-discovery, confidence, and freedom told through the muse of Elvis' music,” says director Arthur Gomez. “With lots of laughs, heart, and energetic dancing, we’ve discovered that this show will keep you moving till the last number.”
