A One-Man Play Loosely Depicting the Life and Times of the Late Huey P. Long of Louisiana.
Huey P. Long is back from the grave to tell his story, and you don’t want to miss it! Aren Chaisson is THE KINGFISH in this one-man show [loosely] depicting the life and times of Huey P. Long.
As we near our next presidential election, it’s time to brush up on your political history. From the red hills of North Louisiana to Washington D.C., Mr. Long will take you through his journey to power. Whether you’re pro-Long or anti-Long, this tale of fact and fancy will be a roller coaster of a good time.
Aren Chaisson is a tour-de-force, taking the stage in this one-man show, trying to answer Huey’s life long question, “Who will take care of the people?”
Directed by Sarah Gauthier
“The performance offers a sampling of Long’s vulgarity, intelligence and cracker-barrel humor, as well as his on-the-stump power of persuasion, as he explains his radical Share Our Wealth program. “
