Here in Louisiana, we finally get to beat the heat and look forward to fall cuisine and the beloved Halloween holiday. Mrs. Heather's Pumpkin Patch, Hammond, LA

This famous pumpkin patch is open seven days a week during its seasonal debut. Not only can families pick a pumpkin directly from the field, but you can also hear Mrs. Heather herself explain how pumpkins grow. Zip lines, jumping pillows, duck races, nature trails, and many more outdoor activities are provided by the farm for good fun entertainment. On the weekends guests are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch and paint their pumpkins with others.

Curry Farms, Start, LA

This fourth generation farm started in the mid-1800s and is home to one of the most notable pumpkin patches in Richland parish. The patch is open from Sept to Nov. There will be an admission fee, which is money well spent that includes a giant climbing spider web, bounce pillow, corn maze, and tons of fun attractions for kids and adults alike. Grab a cup of Bill's world-famous fresh lemonade or use one of their fire pits to cook your own lunch!

DixieMaze Farms, Shreveport, LA

This live-on-the-vine patch is the only one for miles around. You can come and pick your perfect pumpkin from a real growing field of pumpkins for an authentic rural experience. The patch closes at dark every day during their fall season, but the farm offers an array of other activities including a haunted maze and a Halloween festival on Halloween!

Barn Hill Preserve, Ethel, LA

Open on weekends throughout October, this is a must-visit pumpkin patch in Louisiana! There is a range of events that can be enjoyed by the whole family. Hayrides and a seasonal corn maze provide for fall fun, while face painting, animal encounters, and educational keeper talks also make for priceless good times. 

Jefferson United Methodist Church, Baton Rouge, LA

Being the largest mission project for this church, all proceeds of this pumpkin patch are donated directly to their local missions as well as their youth mission trip. The patch is open seven days a week, the church holds their annual Picnic in the Patch event.
