Operation A Walk Down Memorial Day Lane

This Memorial Day, join Our H.O.M.E. for their second annual Operation A Walk Down Memorial Day Lane to bring awareness to the 22 a day suicide rate with veterans amd Memorial Day in general. This year, participants will meet up at The Smiths' home at 221 James Brown Road, Rayville, La,71269 at 4 am and be shuttled to the VFW Post 1808 Rodney J Hobbs at 1499 Hwy 594, Monroe, La, where the walk will begin. From the VFW Post, we will walk down Hwy 80 to Hwy 425 and continue to the Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cementary for the Memorial Day Ceremony. We will have 3 rest breaks during the walk. Water will also be provided. If 4am is too early or 18 miles is to far, participants can also join us at the Pilot station in Rayville, for the last 3 miles. Last year, we arrived at the Pilot around 10 am.
