A Taste of the Deep South Festival
Mission Statement
Henry Turner Jr. Day was established in 2017 to salute individuals, organizations and companies, in the greater Baton Rouge area, for their ongoing philanthropic efforts to improve the quality of life for people in the community. Since then it has evolved into a festival that celebrates the rich culture of the south through food and music.
As a band leader, singer/songwriter, promoter and musical entrepreneur Henry Turner Jr. is well known for mentoring musical talent. He was honored for all his efforts and contributions on October 28, 2015 which was proclaimed Henry Turner Jr. Day in the city of Baton Rouge.
The festival is now called Henry Turner Jr. Day Presents a Taste of the Deep South.
