Woodbooger 5K Race
Join us for the second Annual Woodbooger (aka Bigfoot) 5K and race down Main Street! New to the event this year will be the Beattyville Bigfoot Bash immediately following the 5K Race, hosted in our newly built Town Square. The Bigfoot Bash will include an award ceremony, music, food and Bigfoot activities.
Nestled at the heart of the Kentucky River, where the North and South forks meet to form the headwaters for the River, Beattyville has plenty of sights to see! From our mountains, country roads, waterways, and best of all, our charming Main Street located in our downtown Historic District! Come take in all of the views for yourself!
The 5K course covers the entirety of Main Street. It is a relatively flat course with a few hills. The Main Street Mile Walk will cover the downtown area and most of Main Street!
Proceeds from this race will benefit the Love Local fund that helps to revitalize our downtown area and support local businesses. A portion of the proceeds will also be donated to the local Lee County Middle High School Track and Field Team to support their season this Spring!
