This year’s festival will be a two-day event complete with rides, games, live music, food, fun and FIREWORKS! This event is sponsored in part by the City of Independence and Presenting Sponsor One Holland Corporations. Fireworks provided by Vito's Fireworks.
Schedule:
SATURDAY SPECTACULAR
3pm - The Independence Day Parade starts at Summit View Academy, winding down Madison Pike to Simon Kenton High School. Registration forms for the parade are available at www.cityofindependence.org.
4pm to 12am - Memorial Park is open for the Independence Celebration festivities (after the parade ends). *$25 ride bracelets
7pm - Live Music! GenX plays your favorite 80s, rock, country, and oldies!
10pm - Vito's Fireworks Show!
Hickory Grove Baptist Church is launching the first-ever Indolympics with a field day style collection of games for kids of all ages. The Indolympics will be open near the basketball courts both days of the Independence Celebration. Hickory Grove is also sponsoring pickleball and a video gaming truck.
