Kiwanis Run By The River
Course
The race course starts in front of the Russell Fire Station, goes to Clinton Street, then to the River Road, behind the fire station, out Etna Street then along the River Road toward Worthington. There is a turnaround point on the River Road for 5K runners. 10K runners proceed on to and around Worthington then back on the River Road to the finish line at the Russell Senior Center. The course is flat and on blacktopped streets.
Entry Fees
Pre-Registration (through Tuesday, June 4, 2024, midnight: $30.
Thereafter and on race day: $35.
Age Groups
Age groups run from 9 and under to 80 and over in 5 year intervals.
Awards
Trophies to the overall winner and runner up, both male and female, in both the 5K and 10K races. Metals awarded to all participants 9 and under; first, second and third place medals awarded in all other age groups to 80 and over. Medals given to both male and female participants in both the 5K and 10K races. Participation medals given to walkers. All paid participants will receive a Run By The River T-shirt by mail approximately 10 days following the race. Medals will be given on race day as soon as results are available.
