Kanopolis State Park, Marquette, KS
At Kanopolis State Park campers have access to both primitive and utility camping sites. Want to take your horse with you, no problem. Horseback riders are welcome along with hikers and mountain bikers on any of the 30 plus miles of open trails. Eisenhower State Park & Campground, Osage City, KS
Eisenhower State Park offers campers over 180 utility campsites, five shower houses, primitive camping areas and 15 equestrian campsites with singular corrals, four modern cabins, two primitive yurts and one primitive cabin. Come for the day or stay for two weeks.
Crawford State Park, Farlington, KS
Crawford State Park where campers can set up their campsites at one of the state’s most beautiful park. Nestled close to the Ozarks, campsites include recreational vehicle sites, primitive and tent spots, cottages and utility camping. Scott State Park, Scott City, KS
Scott State Park has been named to National Geographic’s 50 must-see state parks. Campers can choose from full hookup campgrounds, tent and group camping sites and horse campsites, spread throughout the 1,000-acre park. During the day, vacationers will enjoy hiking, hunting, fishing, boating on the spring-fed 100-acre lake and a horse campsite area. Pets are also welcome to camp.
El Dorado State Park, El Dorado, KS
Visiting campers have the opportunity to pitch a tent or park their recreational vehicle in over 1,000 campsites, with or without electric service. This camping facility is the largest in the state encompassing over 4,000 acres. Amenities at El Dorado State Park include a horse campground, hiker trails, bike trails and horse trails. Also available are 24 group campgrounds that campers can reserve.
Wilson State Park, Sylvan Grove, KS
Wilson State Park consists of two areas: Hell Creek and Otoe campgrounds, located on the south side of the Wilson Reservoir. Campers can choose from utility and primitive campsites, day use areas and group camping areas, all of which provide water hookups, shower houses and dump stations. Amenities include Wilson Lake, known to have the clearest water in the state, and provides waters sports and premier bass fishing. Campers can also enjoy hunting, hiking and bike trails.
Cross Timbers State Park, Toronto, KS
Cross Timbers State Park will offer campers shaded campsites and easy entrance to the reservoir lake and nearby river. The full RV hookups and primitive camping spots have modern bathroom and shower facilities. Back country camping is allowed by special permit in designated spots. Campers can enjoy park trails, hiking, backpacking, jogging and mountain biking. Fishing and wildlife watching are also accessible to campers.
Glen Elder State Park, Glen Elder, KS
Glen Elder State Park has both primitive and utility campsites, new cabins and day campsites. The park’s diverse wildlife offers campers unlimited recreational opportunities and a perfect place to relax. The park reservoir is part of a sacred mineral spring fed water system complete with Native American history. The park is also the home of the Wakonda Indian Festival. Campers can set back and relax.
Tuttle Creek State Park, Manhattan, KS
Tuttle Creek State Park offers a wide-range of camping spots that include 200 utility and 500 primitive campsites. Also, the Randolph Area Horse Campground is another camper option along with 11 non-primitive cabins. Spend the day trying out nature trails, a mountain biking trail, a scenic equestrian trail, an 18-hole disc golf course, volleyball courts, horse shoe pits, a shooting range and a new archery range. Be sure to also spend time wildlife watching.
