Cone Palace, Kokomo, IN

Cone Palace, located on the south end of Kokomo, has been serving up great milkshakes since the mid 1960s. Their shakes are smooth and creamy in texture, and taste absolutely delicious no matter what time of year it is. Each shake is hand spun, and topped with your choice of toppings: hot fudge, black raspberry, mint, pineapple, peanut butter, cherry and lemon. One sip and it’s easy to see why Cone Palace is the best of the best in Kokomo!

Cammack Station, Muncie, IN

Cammack Station is the place where friends and family gather, and it’s nostalgia at its finest. The restaurant is located in the heart of Cammack, Indiana, just outside of Muncie. Choose from one of their delicious milkshake options: Silky Smooth Milkshake, which are extra creamy and made with their soft serve frozen custard, the infamous Cammack Station Milkshake, which is made with their homemade hand dipped ice cream—so think you can turn it upside down—and their delicious malted milkshakes. Brics, Indianapolis, IN

Broad Ripple Ice Cream Station, known as BRICS, is located in historic Monon Railway Station, and offers some of the most delicious malts and shakes. BRICS is locally owned and operated, and was founded as a two-family adventure who had one single mission: provide Indy families with delicious ice cream, sweet memories, and happy times. They are also committed to being as environmentally friendly and as sustainable as possible. Their shakes are made to order with your choice of ice cream flavor, with fresh whole milk and one flavor of syrup. Be sure to visit them during the summer, when the outdoor desk that overlooks the Monon Trail is open.

Bru Burger Bar, Indianapolis, IN

Bru Burger Bar opened in 2011, and while they are most famous for their delicious burgers and wide variety of craft selected beers and wines, they are also known for their scrumptious hand dipped milkshakes. Choose from three classical flavors: vanilla, chocolate or strawberry. They also offer a vegan, gluten free menu upon request, which features the exact same flavors. Both options are equally fantastic! 

Bub’s Burgers and Ice Cream, Carmel, IN

Welcome to Bub’s Burgers, home of the Big Ugly Burger. Bub’s was established in 2003, and is located along the Monon Trail in Carmel, Indiana. The ice cream shop, in addition to the burgers, are the most popular menu items here at Bub’s. Their shakes are hand dipped and made with the best of ingredients, and come in four flavors: strawberry, chocolate, vanilla and banana. Visitors can also choose one of their specialty milkshakes, such as cookies’n’cream, cookie dough, mint chocolate chip, black cherry, cinnamon crumb, praline pecan, or peanut butter.

Hinkle’s Sandwich Shop, Madison, IN

Hinkle’s Sandwich Shop has been in business since 1933, and is a must see for anyone who visits the Madison area. It’s located in the heart of historic downtown Madison, and is a favorite among locals and visitors alike. They have over 30 different shake flavors to choose from, from the classics to exotics like Tropical Paradise, Pina Colada, Purple Goo, Coffee Cake, and more! 

The Chocolate Moose, Bloomington, IN

The Chocolate Moose in southern Bloomington, Indiana, opened in 1933, and is a place where ice cream is taken seriously. All the ice cream is homemade, on site to ensure customers receive the best quality product. And not to worry. They also offer vegan flavors as well! Both are absolutely delicious.

Zaharakos, Columbus, IN

Stepping into Zaharakos in southern Columbus, Indiana, is like stepping back in time. Here you’ll find an old-fashioned ice cream parlor with stained glass, carved oak, and original marble countertops.
