Marshall County Blueberry Festival
Blueberry Festival History
The iconic Blueberry Hank was the product of a drawing contest in the 1970s. The Marshall County Blueberry Festival Board was looking for ideas for a mascot and Ed Miller’s submission was the winner. Ed Miller was an art teacher at Argos Community Schools for 38 years. His original design was donated to the Marshall County Museum, and is pictured above, to commemorate the creation of one of the most recognizable “people” in Marshall County. Through all the years of the festival, Blueberry Hank remains a timeless representative of all the memories, good times, good food and sense of community the festival has brought.
