Clarksville Memorial Day Ceremony

Join the Town of Clarksville as we honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in support of our Nation. The theme for this year's event is the 80th Anniversary of D-Day (Battle of Normandy: June 6th, 1944).

The invasion began shortly after midnight with extensive aerial and naval bombardment as well as an airborne assault - the landing of 24,000 American, British, and Canadian airborne troops. The early morning aerial assault was soon followed by Allied amphibious landings on the coast of France

We will honor the memory of these soldiers and all other service members who died defending our freedom with patriotic music, the Clarksville Police Honor Guard, a gun salute, the playing of TAPS, and much more. The event will be held at the Veterans' Place Memorial located behind Clarksville's Town Hall. All members of the public are invited and encouraged to attend.
