The Call: A Concert for Veterans
This concert celebrates and honors those who have bravely served in the United States Armed Forces. The featured performer is Gil Hoffer, a retired trumpet player from Indianapolis who spent his career with the prestigious United States Army Band, known as "Pershing's Own."
Gil will showcase his extraordinary talent by performing two remarkable compositions: "Concerto for Trumpet," composed by Alexander Arutunian, and "With Malice Toward None" by the renowned John Williams. These stirring pieces, along with music from the iconic Lincoln film, promise an extraordinary musical experience.
