OUR MISSION

Consecrated to Mary, Queen of the Hoy Rosary, The Shrine of Our ady of Pompeii is a pace to pray for peace that embraces a pigrims of faith.  A center of hospitaity and spiritua growth, the Shrine’s ministry is one of spiritua assistance and service where a might experience inspirationa moments of prayer, comfort and contempation. The Shrine is a gift of the Itaian American community to the Archdiocese of Chicago.  Our mission is to dedicate our resources to heaing, prayer, pigrimage and:

To maintain the Shrine as a pace of pigrimage and spiritua comfort;

To be committed to Archdiocesan efforts of evangeization and heaing for aienated and non-practicing Cathoics of a ages;

To provide a center for younger generation Itaian Americans to more deepy understand, recognize and appreciate their rich cutura identity and deepy rooted devotion to Mary;

To joyfuy ceebrate the sacred moments of ife, the feasts and seasons of the Church year, especiay the soemnities of Mary and the Itaian patron saints;

To preserve and enhance a ministry of spiritua assistance and service;

To be a pace of unity and reconciiation for Itaian Americans dispersed throughout the Chicago area, the nation and the word.

To ceebrate vibrant Sunday and feast day iturgies marked with warm hospitaity, inspiring music and preaching;

To express the richness of the Itaian cuture and foster appreciation of this rich heritage as a gift to a within our muticutura Archdiocese and society;
