Ravinia District Food Truck Thursdays Is Calling All Music Divas!

Come sing, dance and channel your inner diva at Diva and Soul Night on June 20

Food Truck Thursdays in the City of Highland Park’s Ravinia District is calling all divas to channel their favorite singers with a special Diva and Soul Night on June 20, from 4:30-8:30 PM. Attendees are invited to come out dressed as their favorite music diva to dance and sing to live music by Pierce Crask (4:30-5:45 PM) and RJ Mitchell’s Diva Soul (6-8 PM).

In addition to the fabulous diva and soul performances, families can participate in a diva-themed crossword activity which can be redeemed for a prize at the information booth across from the music area (while supplies last). Want to get a head start? Participating businesses throughout the Ravinia District (noted with window signs) will be giving out Diva and Soul Night crossword puzzles throughout the week of June 17 for families and friends to complete prior to the event, then bring with them to redeem on June 20.   Event attendees can also channel their inner soul on June 20 with the Psychic Chakra Studio. The Wayfarer Theaters team will also be onsite to provide silver screen updates and information on their current and upcoming activities.

Ravinia District Food Truck Thursdays features monthly theme nights where guests are encouraged to arrive in family-friendly costumes and participate in interactive kid-friendly activities. In addition to Diva & Soul night, attendees are encouraged bring their dancing shoes to Noche Latina on July 18, and to get ready to laissez les bons temps rouler at New Orleans Mardi Gras Night on August 15.  

Food Truck Thursdays are a summer staple on the North Shore and will run through September 26, 2024. Events take place in the Ravinia District along Dean Avenue between Roger Williams and St. Johns Avenues and at Jens Jensen Park across from the Ravinia Metra Station. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs or dine at one of the many picnic benches in Jens Jensen Park while enjoying live music (weather permitting) from 4:30-8:30 PM (June-August) and 5-7 PM (September). The eclectic 2024 musical lineup includes various genres and theme nights for all-ages fun.
