Nauvoo Ocktoberfest

The Nauvoo community hosts Oktoberfest to celebrate the German heritage of the area. The event will feature live entertainment by the by the Heidelberg German Polka Band and beer making talks. There will be plenty of German food - brats, hot dogs, beans, sauerkraut, potato salad, and desserts as well as beer, wine, and other refreshments.

There are two events on Saturday. In the Frankfurter Dog Races participants dress up their dogs as a brat or hot dog and race the pooch. This event is a fundraiser for P.A.W.S. Animal Shelter. There is also a Beer Barrel Racing Competition on level ground
