NASCAR Foundation Hosts Gear Up for Good Fundraiser Dinner at Steak 48
The NASCAR Foundation and the Chicago Street Race are gearing up for the 2nd annual "Gear Up for Good" charity dinner at Chicago's premier steak and seafood restaurant, Steak 48, benefiting the YWCA Metropolitan Chicago ahead of the 2024 Chicago Street Race in Grant Park on July 6-7. NASCAR drivers Jeb Burton, Alex Labbe, and Brad Perez will join the event, which aims to support the YWCA's mission of empowerment and racial equality. The dinner, set for July 3rd from 5-8 p.m., encourages guests to register at nascarfoundation.org/chicago to participate in an evening of community engagement and charitable support amidst Race Week festivities. In addition to the events organized by The NASCAR Foundation, the Chicago Street Race team itself is active year-round in the community. NASCAR has already invested nearly $2 million in Chicago through various initiatives, including $155k to local hospitals and a $50k contribution to Chicago Park District Teen Centers for esports enhancements.
