Millennium Art Festival: Chicago, Illinois (16th Annual)
Friday, June 28, 2024 from 10:00am to 05:00pm
Michigan Avenue & East Lake Street
Michigan Ave E Lake St
Free
Taking place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 28, 29 and 30, this top-ranked three-day show in the heart of Chicago’s vibrant downtown attracts locals and tourists alike, giving them plenty of ways to enjoy the art of 110 juried artists from near and far. Located just a few blocks north of Millennium Park, guests will see an array of original artwork including paintings, ceramics, photography, furniture and more, at all price points – a wonderful opportunity to purchase art for your home, your office or yourself! Live music, on-site festival food, food trucks, artist demonstrations, selfie stations, face painting, and the very popular “Kids Art Stop” where artists welcome children to stop at their booth to learn more about the art-making process, add to the family-friendly vibe of the fest. Admission is free and parking is available in the nearby Millennium Parking Garage. The fest has easy access from most loop trains and buses. Dogs are welcome as long as they are leashed and friendly. Attendees are invited to bring their gently used art to the festival where it will be donated to the Chicago Furniture Bank, a nonprofit that distributes furnishings and art to those leaving shelters and moving into permanent housing. Several artists from this show are participating in Amdur Productions’ Green Ribbon Project. Artists place a green ribbon on a piece of art in their booth, and if the piece is sold, 10% of the sale will be donated to Amdur’s charitable partner, which is the Chicago Furniture Bank.
