Lake Bluff PTO Pumpkin Chase

This year's Lake Bluff PTO Pumpkin Chase 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run is on Saturday October 26, 2024.

5K starts at 8AM
Fun Run starts at 9:15AM
Course Info:
Our 5K course is a certified course (USATF- IL-14092-JW) that travels along the beautiful tree lined streets of east Lake Bluff down to the bluff overlooking the shores of Lake Michigan. Don't forget to bring the kids as the 1 Mile Fun Run begins shortly after the 5K and is a family favorite with K-8th grade bragging rights on the line. Stick around for post race refreshments, camaraderie, and awards after each race!
The Pumpkin Chase course is one of the most beautiful 5K's in the Chicagoland area. Our course begins and ends next to the Lake Bluff Middle School in East Lake Bluff. Travelling by historic homes, densely wooded ravines and the sparkling shores of Lake Michigan. Our course will not disappoint!
Please note that a 15 minute mile pace or faster is encouraged for the Lake Bluff PTO Pumpkin Chase. A 15 min. mile pace is roughly four miles per hour, equivalent to a very brisk walk. If you fall below this pace, the race organizers can no longer guarantee course support. Aid Stations, medical support, and road closures will begin to become unavailable to participants. The local police or race organizers will ask you to move up onto the sidewalk. We will try to accommodate all participants, but we need to re-open the roads by 1030am.
