Independence Day Celebration - Parade

The 2024 theme is "Planting the Seeds of Happiness." This Fourth of July, we invite you to showcase joyful memories and your organization’s growth: past and future. The community is what makes our parade so special, with representation from organizations all throughout Des Plaines, including our 2024 Grand Marshal, Pesche's, who is celebrating their 100th anniversary.
This beloved tradition includes community floats, live music and strolling entertainment. The parade is a great way to enjoy the holiday with neighbors and is fun for the whole family. We are eager to celebrate with you all!
The parade will step off at 10am on Thursday, July 4, at the intersection of Center Street and Wicke Avenue.
The parade will proceed north on Center to Prairie Ave., will head east on Prairie and then disband at Prairie and Pearson St. Please note that the roads in the immediate area may be closed to accommodate parade traffic.
