Fort 2 Base at Foss Park
The 13th annual Fort2Base 10 Nautical Mile, 3 Nautical Mile & 1-Mile Fun Run returns to Illinois on August 25th, 2024 for another monumental race through Lake County’s military history!
Experience a firsthand view of the historic military encampments of The Philip H. Sheridan Reserve Center and the Naval Station Great Lakes as you take on one of the three unique course distances.
3 Nautical Mile
3 Nautical Mile runners will start and finish their run at Foss Park.
You’ll begin by exiting the park and running along the fence line of the Great Lakes Naval Station before heading south down the McClory Bike Path to the Great Lakes Train Station.
Finally, you’ll make a quick turn around and head back to Foss Park and into the post-race celebrations!
1-Mile Fun Run
The North Chicago 1-Mile Fun Run starts and finishes in Foss Park. You’ll head out of the park along the fence line of the Great Lakes Naval Station before turning around and heading back to the finish line and into the post-race celebrations!
