Experience a firsthand view of the historic military encampments of The Philip H. Sheridan Reserve Center and the Naval Station Great Lakes as you take on one of the three unique course distances.
Course:
10 Nautical Mile runners will start inside the Philip H. Sheridan Reserve Center before following the McClory Bike Path as it heads south around the outside of Fort Sheridan and through the historic Fort Sheridan Water Tower and parade grounds. Runners will then re-enter the McClory bike path heading north.
You’ll run along the quiet, shaded path that millions of Sailors and Soldiers have run before you as you pass through Highland Park, Highwood, Lake Forest, and Lake Bluff before exiting the path in North Chicago.
There, you’ll make your way past the Great Lakes Naval Station, the Navy’s largest training installation and the home of the Navy’s only Boot Camp, before turning into Foss Park where you can celebrate your accomplishment at the post-race party.
