Firehouse Ministries Fire Museum
History
The property previously housed the Rock Falls Fire Department until a new fire station was built in 1964. It was used off and on for other City departments' use, but had not been occupied in several years and was about to be condemned. After 2 months of completely gutting the building, re-roofing, painting, and replacing windows by numerous volunteers, the community was invited in to see the transformation and remember the history of the department. Firehouse Ministries Fire Museum opened to the public on November 16, 2012.
