Celebrate Highwood is proud to announce the return of its themed Margarita Night on July 17 from 4:30-9:30 PM during its Wednesday Evening Gourmet Market. Attendees are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite tropical gear and party to island and reggae tunes from Vibration Foundation from 6-9 PM. There will be plenty of tropical party favorites including beach balls, flamingos, margaritas, Caribbean cuisine and munchies to enjoy with family and friends.
“Margarita Night brings everyone together to celebrate summer and Highwood always brings a festive backdrop for a good time,” says Eric Falberg, President of Celebrate Highwood and Highwood Alderman. “Margarita Night is the perfect prelude to our weekend-long Taco Fest on July 19-21.”
A weekly outdoor market of this caliber is hard to find. With its “Live Evening Concert Series” from 5:30-9 PM, and “Ravinia Festival-like” atmosphere, families are encouraged to set up their picnic blankets and chairs and enjoy the evening in the park, dining on local goodies and jamming to the sounds of great local bands. This vibrant market has become a tradition for friends and family seeking great food, spirits and entertainment.
Encouraging the community to “make a night of it,” Highwood’s Evening Gourmet Market showcases a wide range of local produce, gourmet snacks, homemade breads and pastries, an array of ethnic delicacies and local artisan wares. Guests are able to enjoy dinner and cocktails while exploring the market, catching up with friends, and listening to different live music acts each week. This year marks Celebrate Highwood’s eighth season as an official 501(c)(3) with the mission of raising funds for worthy non-profit organizations through its festivals and events. Although all festivals are FREE to the public, a portion of proceeds benefit various charities.
A special thanks to Celebrate Highwood Sponsors of Margarita Night: American Place Casino, Brian Lock-State Farm Insurance Agent, Leafguard and Waterloo Sparkling Water.
