If you want an unusual pumpkin this year, Heap’s Giant Pumpkin Farm is the place to go. You can browse the 25-acre pumpkin patch and choose from white, red, green, bumpy, and even giant pumpkins weighing hundreds of pounds. It’s truly the best selection of pumpkins you’ll find. This farm also offers attractions such as hayrides, mazes, live entertainment (select dates) and Milo’s Castle. The kids will love seeing the farm animals, as well.

Pumpkin Blossom Hill, Red Bud, IL

Family-owned since 1984, Pumpkin Blossom Hill has been opening their farm to pumpkin pickers for decades. Not only can you pick pumpkins from the patch, but choose from beautiful mums, gourds, and corn stalks. This farm also offers an arts and crafts store, mechanical bull, corn maze, large playground, and kettle corn. Pumpkin Blossom Hill is laid-back and perfect for spending a Saturday. 

Siegel’s Cottonwood Farm, Lockport, IL

Siegel’s Cottonwood Farm offers so many attractions you may forget to pick out your pumpkin. Located in Lockport, this is more than just an ordinary pumpkin patch. It offers over seven hours of activities including paintball shooting, zip lines, pony and horse rides, kiddie train rides, hayrack rides, and more. Younger kids can explore all the play areas while adults can climb the 26-foot freestanding rock or test their skills in the Sports Zone attraction. Enjoy lots of delicious foods, as well, such as apple cider donuts, caramel corn, and fried corn. 

Bengtson’s Pumpkin Farm, Homer Glen, IL

You’ll need to set aside an entire day for Bengtson’s Pumpkin Farm. Located in Homer Glen, this patch offers dozens of attractions such as a giant slide, haunted barn, and pumpkin chucker. There’s also pig races, pony rides, train rides, and plenty of delicious treats like kettle corn, barbeque, cotton candy, churros, apple cider donuts, and more. Get a free family photo at the Bengtson’s Pumpkin Patch, as well, and don’t forgot to actually pick out a pumpkin to take home.

Glass Pumpkin Patch, West Lawn, IL

If you enjoy unique works of art, check out the Glass Pumpkin Patch in West Lawn. Just a few days in October you can preview the glass pumpkins, meet the artists who created them from hand-blown glass, and pick out your favorites. You’ll also be able to watch the artists in action as they transform glass into extraordinary pumpkin creations. At the end of the event you can purchase these exquisite pieces of art.

Gail’s Pumpkin Patch, Beason, IL

Located central Illinois, Gail’s Pumpkin Patch is a beautiful place for picking pumpkins and enjoying the autumn weather. This free-admission pumpkin patch offers many activities such as farm animals and popcorn-picking from the Popcorn Wagon. There’s also a barn slide, play barn, toddler corner, gourd bowling, and antique tractors. Gail’s Pumpkin Patch is the perfect spot to bring the entire family. 

Marlow’s Pumpkin Patch, Opdyke, IL

If you’re ever around Opdyke in the fall, you’ve got to stop by Marlow’s Pumpkin Patch. This family-orientated farm offers many types of pumpkins from standard jack-o-lanterns to fairytale pumpkins plus squash, and decorative gourds. You can also shop in the general store, pet the farm animals, take the pirate ship hayride (handicap accessible), and explore the corn maze. Marlow’s Pumpkin Patch makes sure all ages have an enjoyable experience. 

The Lindberg Pumpkin Patch, Caledonia, IL

Located in Caledonia, the Lindberg Pumpkin Patch offers affordable family fun seven days per week. Full of rich history, this rural farm offers a seven-acre corn farm, barnyard petting zoo, old-fashioned wagon rides, and the world’s largest pumpkin. You can also visit the Great Harvest Barn, which is over 100 years-old, where you’ll find a gift shop featuring homemade knickknacks and a cafe/bakery offering taffy apples, pumpkin pies and other tasty treats. 

Odyssey Fun Farm, Tinley Park, IL

The Odyssey Fun Farm is packed full of fun activities for everyone to explore. Aside from the pumpkin patch and awesome pumpkin house, you can visit the corn maze and pyramid, petting zoo, pillow jumpy, flashlight maze, and zombie safari hayride. There’s also zip lines, hay rides, pig races, and so many other attractions for children. Small kids love the rubber duck races, corn box, and the giant inflatable kid zone.
