Art at the Glen: Glenview, Illinois

Glenview’s spectacular Glen Town Center is home to the 21^st annual Art at the Glen on Saturday, July 27 and Sunday, July 28. 130 juried artists from near and far will showcase and sell their unique pieces in a variety of mediums and at all price points including paintings, photography, ceramics, furniture, jewelry, wood, fiber and more! Live music on two stages, activities for kids including sand art and art fest bingo, “Start to Paint” on-site painting classes for kids and adults, selfie stations, face painting, and designated “Kid Friendly” booths where artists welcome children into their space to learn more about the art-making process, add to the family-friendly vibe of this event. Festival food and several restaurants just steps away from the artists’ booths ensure that no one will go hungry! The show, in partnership with the Glen Town Center and the Village of Glenview, is handicap accessible and wheel friendly. Admission and parking are free with street parking and plenty of nearby lots. Attendees are invited to bring their gently used art to the festival where it will be donated to the Chicago Furniture Bank, a nonprofit that distributes furnishings and art to those leaving shelters and moving into permanent housing. Several artists from this show are participating in Amdur Productions’ Green Ribbon Project. Artists place a green ribbon on a piece of art in their booth, and if the piece is sold, 10% of the sale will be donated to Amdur’s charitable partner, which is the Chicago Furniture Bank.
