Join us for breakfast and an informative presentation this Saturday. On February 15, 2024, a delegation of (mostly) Presbyterians arrived in Amman, Jordan, crossed into the West Bank and spent a week with Israelis and Palestinians to hear their stories, pray with them, and try to understand what is happening from the perspective of the people being directly affected by the Gaza war. The delegation met daily with a variety of groups including local Christians, human rights organizations, representatives of the U.S. State Department, and others. On Saturday, May 4, a member of the delegation, Rev. Joy Smith (Orland Park Presbyterian Church) will give her perspective on the trip.
Proceeds from this event will support Mar Elias Educational Institutions (MEEI), a 4-school (K-
12) 2700 student network located in Ibillin, an Arab village in Northern Israel that is open to
all.
Those interested in attending should call 630-668-5147 for reserved seats.
