Walker Johnston Skateboard Park

Amenities
The City of Urbandale offers a Skateboard Park for area boarders where they can enjoy the following amenities:

• 2 escalated quarter pipes (each 20 feet wide)
• 2 sets of stairs with rails
• 90-degree bank street hip
• Fun box
• Street spine

Prohibited
The following are prohibited in the Skateboard Park:

• Alcohol or drugs
• Bicycles or scooters
• Glass containers or littering
• Graffiti, stickers, or vandalism of property
• Pets in the skating area
• Unauthorized equipment, ramps or obstacles
• Waxing of skate park surfaces

Protective Gear

• Protective gear is recommended. Examples of protective gear include:
• Helmet
• Pads
• Wrist guards

Skate Conduct

• Help younger skaters learn
• Limit abusive language or profanity
• Share the skating space
• Skate within your abilities
• Use the trash cans and keep your Skateboard Park clean

Skate Smart

• 1 skater on a ramp at a time
• Adult supervision required for beginning skaters
• Skateboards and skates only
• Skating not allowed when surfaces are wet or icy
