Iowa Thespian Festival

Join us on the UNI campus for the 2024 Iowa Thespian Festival, open to all theatre students and teachers in the state of Iowa. The festival will be held Friday, November 15 and Saturday, November 16 on the University of Northern Iowa campus in Cedar Falls, IA.

At Iowa Thespian Festival, you will:

Experience performances of all kinds: staged readings and improv, student-written works, one-acts and full-scale main stage productions.

Showcase your talents through college auditions, Tech Challenge and the Thespy Awards.

Build your theatre family — you’ll meet hundreds of Thespians and theatre educators and form lifelong friendships.

8:00 AM – 11:00 AM - College/Thespian Scholarship Auditions
9:15 AM – 11:45 AM - Hall of Fame Presentation, Mainstage #3
11:45 AM - 2:00 PM - Lunch, Thespy Award Showcase
2:00 PM - 4:00 PM - Workshops and Scholarship Callbacks
4:00  PM – 6:30 PM - Mainstage #4 & Closing Ceremonies
7:00 PM - 9:00 PM- Dinner in Cedar Falls
11:00 PM - Return to Waukee
