Veterans Day Grave Decoration at Oahu Cemetery

This is our annual event at Oahu Cemetery. We will place U.S. flags on the graves of U.S. veterans and, where known, the natal flags of foreign and foreign-born veterans.

Apparel: Civil War Uniforms, North or South, as well as period civilian clothing are encouraged. Military reenactors will be in light marching order (weapon, belt, cartridge box, bayonet, rifle). Canteens and haversacks are optional. Non-reenactors may wear the regalia of their civic organizations or appropriate street clothes. Blue and Grey are encouraged!

7:30 AM: Muster before the chapel. Review the order of events.
7:45 AM: Move the Grand Army of Republic and "modern" plots.
8:00 AM: Break out the Colors over both plots.
8:00 - 10:00 AM: Decorate graves
10:00 AM: Rally at the Chapel and process to the Kealoha headstone for comments.
10:15 AM: Process back to Chapel
10:30 AM: Dismissal

We will then retire for our annual meeting and lunch, probably at La Mariana's!
