Na Holo Wahine 5K & 1Mile

Valley Isle Road Runners presents the 45th Annual Na Holo Wahine Fun Run/Walk.  THIS IS A WOMENS ONLY EVENT.

Nā Holo Wahine is a benefit for the University of Hawai‘i – Maui College scholarship fund in memory of Kelly Watanabe, who passed away in 2021 after a long battle with cancer. This scholarship is a tribute to Kelly’s life as a runner, wellness advocate, educator, and community volunteer.

Kelly was a lifelong runner and avid marathoner who ran marathons in all 50 states, Japan, and Canada.  She was also a long-time Valley Isle Road Runner member and dedicated volunteer—serving on the board, working behind the scenes on the club’s fun runs, and co-directing the Nā Holo Wahine Fun Run/Walk. 

Nā Holo Wahine is all about celebrating, empowering, and honoring women.  The women’s fun run/walk is a fitting way to honor and remember Kelly and her burst of energy, determination, enthusiastic smile, and champion attitude towards life!
