Kaʻena Point Trail

Waialua, HI, 96791

Website

Firecracker is a scenic out-and-back trail run along the north and west shores of Kaʻena Point State Park. The 9.75-mile course includes beaches, Jeep tracks, single tracks, an old railroad right of way, and only 377 feet of elevation gain. There are no trees, so there are no roots, but the course has plenty of rocks, and the sun can be hot by the end of the race. After the race, water, juice, sodas, fruit, and salty snacks are provided, and you can cool off in the ocean!

Dress festively! Firecracker celebrates the 4th of July and the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

Age Requirement:  Entrants for Kaʻena Point Firecracker must be 15 years of age or older. If under 18, a signed waiver by their parent/guardian must be submitted prior to race day.  The waiver form is available for download in the waiver tab. Instruction on how to submit the signed waiver is at the bottom of the form.

Cupless:  We are proud that the HURT Trail Series will continue to be cupless! Bring your own reusable cup or bottle for post-race hydration.
