Best Christmas Tree Farms in Hawaii!

hi christmas tree

Nothing says Christmas quite like a holiday tree, and if you're in Hawaii, there are some amazing Christmas tree farms to choose from! Here are the top picks so you can get a stunning tree in the finest location. Whether you're looking for a traditional or tropical tree, these farms will surely have something you'll love!

Helemano Farms, Wahiawa, HI

Bring your leashed puppy along for the holiday cheer while you pick out a Christmas tree at Helemano Farms. This farm offers rows and rows of cut-your-own trees, or they’ll help you cut down the tree you select. Helemano Farms opened in 2002 by a father and son, and it is still family-run. They offer Leyland cypress, Norfolk pine, and several other species of cypress, all providing beautiful boughs to hang your decorations from. Helemano Farms also sells wreaths and fresh table décor.

Hooluana Tree Farm, Hilo, HI

Hooluana Tree Farm is a one-stop shop for your Christmas feast—it sells Christmas trees and Wagyu beef—so you’ve got decorations and your meal. Cut your own beautiful cypress Christmas tree to fill your home with a traditional Christmas scent. Another bonus about opting to have a cypress tree for Christmas is that they don’t shed needs like pine trees, so no endless cleaning up. Hooluana Tree Farm’s opening days vary, so check their hours online before arriving and do note that they close early if they sell out.

Kula Botanical Garden, Kula, HI

This nearly 50-year-old botanical garden features eight acres of carefully landscaped tropical gardens. And at Christmastime, the Kula Botanical Garden sells homegrown evergreen trees ranging from three feet to 18 feet-tall. They also sell fresh wreaths, swags, and centerpieces to complete your holiday décor. Trees are sold in November and December during their annual tree sale (call for specific dates and times), but can also be purchased from the gift shop in December. Do note that only a limited number of pre-cut trees are sold in the gift shop, so arrive early if you miss the annual sale.
