"Away down south in the land of cotton and tractors" there is a great little race called the Gin Run 5K.  It is run on country roads and the course is flat and fast and USATF certified!  

Event Schedule:

5:30PM - Packet Pickup and Race Day Registration

6:30PM - Gin Run 5K

7:30PM - Awards

NOTE:  Sunset on October 18 is 6:55PM.  Head lamps are recommended
