Find the Best Things

Georgia Museum of Agriculture and Historic Village

History:

The GMA Gallery opened in November of 2010 with a commitment to showcase the work of traditional and rural Georgia artists. Since 2010 the Gallery has hosted a new exhibit every three months, each spotlighting individual artists or groups of artists who not only create rural art, but are actively involved in passing their skills to the next generation. Art classes for adults taught by local artists are offered every month in addition to regular exhibit programming, and artisan lectures and demonstrations are often a part of the exhibit openings. The Gallery works with a list of regional partners to present each exhibit to the community and to showcase the work of local farmers, musicians, and artisans during the opening receptions for each exhibit.
