Forever Bluegrass Fall Festival
History
Our Bluegrass Festivals are held in the honor of our Daddy, Boxcar Pinion who lost his life to cancer in 1990. Of course, we are here also in the memory of our sweet, sweet Momma, Frances Pinion, who passed away in 2007.
We are sisters – Cindy Pinion – Inez Pinion Castleberry – Ruth Pinion.
Plus a host of wonderful, hardworking friends and family who have helped us put together what has become one of the best Bluegrass Festivals around.
Our Festivals promote bluegrass music and keep Daddy's memory alive with the music and fun that he gave to so many people. Please read Boxcar's story. We sell ads in our program booklet, so that we can help continue the research for the cure for cancer. A portion of our ad sales is donated, to the American Cancer Society.
We rent Mountain Cove Farms, the showbarn, campgrounds and cabins in Walker County, Georgia, just 30 miles from downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee. The concert is held under a huge beautiful show barn, so weather is no factor, rain or shine – we will pick and grin. Mountain Cove Farms offers numerous amenities including plenty of camping, frisbie golf, picnic tables, fire rings, camp store and all sorts of wonderful outdoor recreation for families. We stress the family environment and encourage all families to attend. You are never too young or too old to kindle the fire for a love of bluegrass music.
We serve-up the best talent around the area performing on stage. There are also dozens of jam sessions all around the campsite at anytime of the hour. Your love of Bluegrass music will never go hungry.
