Cartecay Vineyards
Open: Year Round
Our History:
The land that Cartecay Vineyards rests on was purchased in 2007.
The vineyard was originally a working farm, dating back to circa 1890. The original farm grew corn and hay, grazed cattle, and raised hogs and mules.
When Cartecay Vineyards acquired the farm, it had been inactive for quite some time, and had been taken back by Mother Nature.
The farm that now exists as a vineyard was created by combining the original farm layout with the specific needs of a vineyard.
Cartecay is a Cherokee word, which means "Bread Valley".
Cartecay Vineyards is not affiliated with AmericanTowns Media
