The Atlanta Jewish Life Festival, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, was founded by the Atlanta Jewish Times (AJT). The event is Atlanta's largest single-day festival promoting and celebrating Jewish and Israeli arts, food, music, and culture while connecting the community to local synagogues, nonprofits, and social action groups. The event aims to  strengthen community connections to Jewish beliefs, traditions, and family.

In keeping with its mission of “Keeping Jewish Atlanta Connected”, in 2017, AJT created the Atlanta Jewish Connector, an on-line community calendar and directory for long-time Atlantans.

Having successfully sustained and enhanced a community Jewish newspaper and developed an on-line resource guide for Jewish Atlanta, AJT wanted to broaden their impact further on the Atlanta Jewish community to create an annual one-day event.
