Atlanta-Fulton County Library System - Northeast/Spruill Oaks Branch

About:

The Northeast/Spruill Oaks Library is a beautiful, recently updated branch nestled into a park-like campus in tranquil Johns Creek. The building has the feel of a modern ski lodge, but rests comfortably in the agrarian setting of Johns Creek. There are study rooms, meeting rooms and quiet places to gaze out the window at the surrounding nature. The property was donated by the Spruill family and their memory is preserved as a four corner monument that outlines the footprint of the original family farmhouse on the front lawn. Inside the 25,000 sq/ft building is a diverse collection of materials including a very special reference collection, donated by the Johns Creek Historical Society, documenting the history of the area.

What is really special about NESO is the people who make up the community. The patrons, Friends, volunteers and staff all bring their unique experiences into the branch. From the families who have been in the area for generations to the recent immigrants who come from all over the world to make a better future for their families, together they contribute to making NESO a unique and special place.
