Don't Miss the 24th Annual Surf Illumination Holiday Tree Lighting on December 7th at Pier Park! Free Photos With Santa, Face Painting, Balloon Twisting, Arts & Crafts Market and live holiday performances by students from the Jamology School of Music, Gamble Rogers Middle School and the Martha Hotz Music Studio.

Christmas is not Dead - but we do love the music and vibe of the Grateful Dead! Local musician and Eclipse Recording owner Jim Stafford is playing Santa this year for all of you that are hippies or just love hippies! Jim is part of a group called the “PITS PLAYERS”, with PITS being an acronym for playing in the sand! This band salutes and covers the music of the Grateful Dead. This includes originals by the Dead and also many of the songs the Dead covered back in the day. The makeup and formation of the band is quite interesting. We’ll share that on Facebook later on this week. Just know the PITS PLAYERS will do two sets from 7 until 9 PM as a bonus attraction for all of you music lovers!
