Job-Seekers Can Make Appointment at Neighborhood Centers for Families in Orange County

WHAT: 

As more people relocate to Florida each month, many Central Floridians may find themselves needing a little extra help standing out in the job search. That’s where Goodwill Industries of Central Florida fits in. As part of Goodwill Week (May 5-11), the organization is teaming up with nine Neighborhood Centers for Families (NCFs) across Orange County to provide 30-minute one-on-one, in-person coaching sessions.

On Wednesday, May 8, Goodwill employment specialists will meet with job-seekers to focus on resume building, and anyone needing additional services – such as counseling, tutoring, senior activities, healthcare and more – will be able to connect onsite with representatives from other nonprofits. More than 90% of the revenue generated through Goodwill’s retail stores is reinvested into the organization’s job training programs and employment assistance services.
