Bluebird Run and Walk for Brookie B

Our 5K trail course is one of the most beautiful and challenging in Tallahassee. Wide multi-use trails make a loop through the greenway, starting and ending at the trailhead. Past participants have said, "You’ll never forget your first Bluebird."

Our 1 Mile Fun Run course is unique with an out-and-back canopy trail that crosses the Lafayette Heritage Canopy Bridge. A treat for runners and walkers alike, there is a water station at the turnaround on the other side of the bridge.

A huge tent with party lights will welcome you to the greenway as registration begins at 7:00 am. There will be free coffee, sports drinks, bottled water, watermelon, bananas and an assortment of treats including sno-cones. The LOSS Team of the Big Bend will set up a special area called Memory Lane in honor of the loved ones we have lost to suicide. Our Mental Health Fair will give you the opportunity to receive information from many of our local mental health care providers. Bluebird is both a fun athletic event and an outstanding community event for suicide awareness and prevention.

Directions

From Mahan Drive go south on Pedrick Road 2.4 miles to Greenway entrance.

From Buck Lake Road go south on Pedrick Road 1.6 miles to Greenway entrance.

Packet Pickup
Packet pick-up is scheduled for Thursday, August 29 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at REI Co-op Tallahassee, Market Square Shopping Center, 1415 Timberlane Rd #201.
