p303574118-3.jpgJoin Wethersfield Historical Society and watch Wethersfield’s Memorial Day Parade from the front lawn of the Keeney Memorial Cultural Center (200 Main Street) and stick around to see the Second Continental Light Dragoons, Sheldon’s Horse return for demonstrations of horsemanship and 18th century military training. The society’s historic Hurlbut-Dunham House will be open at 10:00 am to receive visitors and the Cove Warehouse Maritime Museum at Cove Park will be open 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm.The Keeney Center will be open 10:00 am – 4:00 pm on Saturday and 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm on Sunday. Currently on display are our award-winning exhibits Castle on the Cove: The Connecticut State Prison at Wethersfield and our permanent exhibit Legendary People, Ordinary Lives. Also, Wethersfield Public School’s 65th Annual Spring Art Show is currently on view through May 19. There is no admission charge, but donations are gratefully accepted.
